?????????????

Sorry no post for a long time, but its just hard to sit down and write. We still don't know where we go from here. We've called around and talked with different agencies, but it's the same problem over and over everyone wants $$$ up front with no promise of anything. After Kazakhstan leaving us almost $11,000 in the hole we are leary to spend more money (we don't have) with the possibility of losing everything again. We are still thinking about the Swan program but after talking with them in April we don't know if its what we really want to get into. We'll let everyone know if anything comes up.

Have you looked into KIDSAVE.ORG If you live in an area where these children come into the USA, then the child lives with you for five weeks, but MUST return to their country to continue the adoption process. Children are "older" and need love, but you have five weeks of the child living with you to "check" them out. I know some of the kids are from Columbia, some are from Ukraine. Go to www.kidsave.org to check them out. And even if you do not live in an area where they bring the kids in to the USA, you can still adopt. We adopted a 9 year old (not from Kidsave, but through an agency) The age is really not an issue, if you have the love to give. Our daughter is perfect in all ways, health, intelligence, and psyche. She carries baggage, but so don't we all. Don't be afraid of an older child. Check out Kidsave. Being able to live with the child five weeks before paying one cent to adopt can be very advantageous.
Hope this helps.
